CAS Ruled Against Karpov

Court of arbitration for sport (CAS) issued its decision in the arbitration opposing FIDE to Karpov 2010 Inc. and to five national federations (Federation Fran├žaise Des Echecs, Deutscher Schachbund, Schweizerischer Schachbund, Federatsiya Shakiv Ukrainy and United States Chess Federation). It has dismissed the case of Anatoly Karpov and has confirmed Kirsan Ilyumzhinov's candidature for FIDE President is valid.
The Court of Arbitration for Sport dismissed Karpov's Claims

Karpov website laments over "vague regulations":
"The court case brought by five national federations against Kirsan Ilyumzhinov’s FIDE to contest the legitimacy of his ticket’s nominations has failed to bring the desired result of forcing Kirsan to follow the rules." - Court Case to Force Fair Play Fails
