Balaton Chess Festival in Hévíz, Hungary

Hévíz is one of the most important centres of health tourism in Hungary. The focal point of the spa is the unique thermal lake with its peat bottom and 4,4 hectares of surface area, the largest such lake int he world. The curing caress of the famous waters, a glass of Hungarian red wine int he row of wine-cellars, a walk under the alders of Egregy, the sight of the red fairy roses and the traditional hospitality – thats Hévíz.

Tournaments: 9-round Swiss system open tournaments, time control: 90 minutes for 40 moves + 30 minutes + 30 seconds cumulative increment for each move starting from the first move. FIDE rules are valid at the tournament.

Tournament venue: Assembly Hall of Major's Office, 8380 Hévíz, Kossuth u. 1.
