The 2nd Annual Continental Class Championships will be held at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City, Arlington, VA, from October 6-10, 2011.
The event has a $60,000 projected prize fund with $40,000 guaranteed!
The event has 7 sections, Master, Expert, Class A, Class B, Class C, Class D and Class E.
The Master and Expert Sections have a 5-day schedule, the Class A and Class B Sections have 5-day, 4-day and 3-day schedules and the Class C, Class D and Class E Sections have 4-day, 3-day and 2-day schedules.
Master: Open to all US players currently or formerly rated at least 2200 USCF or 2100 FIDE, foreign players rated at least 2000 USCF or 1800 FIDE, and invitees. Prizes $5000-2500-1500-1000-700-600-500-500-400-400, clear or tiebreak first bonus $200, FIDE Under 2400/Unr $2000-1000.
GM and IM norms possible, FIDE rated.
