Vizag GM International Open Chess Championship is scheduled to take place from from 23rd November to 1st December, 2011 at Swarnabharathi Indoor Stadium in Resapuvanipalem, Visakhapatnam, AP, India.
The tournament is organized by the All Vizag District Chess Association together with Andhra Pradesh Chess Association and under the aegis of All India Chess Federation.
233 players participate. Top rated are GM Gupta Abhijeet IND 2640, GM Petrosian Tigran L ARM 2636, GM Andriasian Zaven ARM 2619, GM Ulibin Mikhail RUS 2587, GM Sumets Andrey UKR 2569, GM Gleizerov Evgeny RUS 2566, GM Danielsen Henrik ISL 2542 and GM Arun Prasad S IND 2530.
