We saw rare fighting spirit in the last round of Malaysian open. Even thou he already secured first place, Wang Hao never thought about short draw. He went aggressive toward GM Ian Rogers to finally break his resistance at move 27. Wang even missed 5-moves mating combination earlier.
Wang Hao earned his second GM norm for this impresive result. Dubai, few months earlier, wasn`t an accident after all. This teenager is real refreshment for the game and we look forward to his future tournament wins.
IM Jayson Gonzales has achieved GM norm with 7,5 points and FM Lim Yee Weng has earned IM norm with 6 points. My friend FM Nicholas Chan had 6,5 points - good result for the future malaysian star.
