Good bye summer 2005

3th open ches tournament was held on October 10th to 16th in Omish, small city on the Adriatic coast. I was on the vacation there some 20 years ago, the place is great (kids memories). If you ever visit Europe, make sure you dont miss Croation coast.

This tournament was also qualifier for the Croatian national championship, to be held in Vukovar on December 7-17th. Top four players have earned the tickets for this event.

GM Nenad Sulava (2493) won this tournament with 7 points out of 9 rounds. IM's Blazimir Kovacevic (2493), Alojzije Jankovic (2446) and Ognjen Jovanic (2469) have also qualified for the National championship. GM Ognjen Cvitan (2527) is the first reserve.
