World champion Vladimir Kramnik will face Deep Fritz chess program in a 6 games match scheduled for November 25th to December 5th, 2006. The event will be held at the Art and Exhibition Hall of the Federal Republic of Germany in Bonn, and Kramnik might double his starting fee to $1 Million US if he wins the match.
In an recent interview Kramnik announced his plans regarding this season. (Depending on the treatment progress) Vladimir will play chess Olympiad in May, Dortmund in July, unification match against Veselin Topalov in September (if arranged) and match against the Deep Fritz in November. Unfortunately, he had to skip Monaco Amber after 14 years of constant participation.
