The Festival is part of the Grand Prix 2006 of Romania and will take place on August 19th-25th in Iasi. Tournament will have 9 rounds, time control is 2 hours for 40 moves plus 30 min for the rest of the game. First prize is 1000 euros, total prize fund 6500 euros. Iasi is situated in the northeast of Romania (400 km of Bucharest) and can be reached by plane or train.
