European Senior Chess Championship

European Senior Individual Championship 2006 was held on August 5th-13th in Davos, Switzerland. Serbian GM Borislav Ivkov outplayed higher rated competition (Korchnoi, Cebalo, Jansa) to win the tournament with outstanding 8 points from 9 games, full point ahead of Mark D.Tseitlin, Vlastimil Jansa and Boris Khanukov. In this way Ivkov, first world junior champion (back in 1955), united two titles. WFM Valeria Dotan from Israel is European champion in women category.
