2nd Livigno Open with 22 Grandmasters in the field

No less than 22 GMs and 14 IMs have gathered in Livigno, Italian Alps, for the International Livigno Chess Open. The 2nd edition of this tournament has a relevant success, with a total of 90 participants. The organizers are really satisfied by this great result.

There are 54 players taking part in the Open A tournament; among them 18 with an Elo higher than 2500 and 3 with an Elo higher than 2600.

Altogether there are 24 nations represented from all over the world: Europe, Asia (India), Northern and Southern America.
This great achievement was made possible thanks to a few local Hotels, who have ‘adopted’ a GM each.

The first round closed this evening, Saturday, at 8pm. Tomorrow 2nd round at 9am and 3rd at 3pm CET. Live coverage for the Open A, rankings and results on our website.
