Bern City Chess Championship is scheduled to take place from 13th to 16th October at the Restaurant Union in Bern, Switzerland.
The tournament will be played over 7 rounds of Swiss pairing system. Top prizes: 1. Fr.1'000.-/ 2. Fr.700.-/ 3. Fr.500.-/ 4. Fr.400.-/ 5. Fr.300.-/ 6. Fr.200.-
There are also money prizes for the Junior Groups, Seniors and local players.
Currently top rated players are: GM Grigorov Grigor (Bulgaria), GM Cherniaev Alexander (Russia), IM Klauser Markus (Switzerland) and IM Habibi Ali (Germany).
