Shakhriyar Mamedyarov: I make good money

"I launched professional chess career very late lacking finance and sponsor. That is why I could not participate in the international tournaments. I scored a grandmaster norm when I was 18. I still lack sponsor but since joining the chess elite I make good money", Azeri grandmaster Shakhriyar Mamedyarov told APA-Sport. Shakhriyar Mamedyarov said Teimour Radjabov is playing well now. "Teimour is playing too well now. He conquered the Corus tournament. We both are among the top ten grandmaster of the world. I have very good relations with Teimour".

Shakhriyar Mamedyarov touched upon his performance for Alkaloid in the European Club Cup in Turkey. "Alkaloid is being sponsored by chemical factory. I competed for Alkaloid for the first time. I accepted to take first board in Alkaloid receiving good financial offers".
